Speaker's Profile:
Toshiyuki Shiga was born in Wakayama City. After graduating from Osaka Prefecture University, he joined Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. in 1976, mainly in charge of Asian sales, and was stationed in Indonesia for about 6 years from 1991. He was involved in the Renault-Nissan alliance when served as General Manager of the Corporate Planning Office and the Alliance Coordination Office while participating in the planning and execution of Nissan Revival Plan as a liaison with worksites. In 2000, he was named as Senior Vice President at the age of 46. His noteworthy achievement and success were in the promotion market, especially in China, where he served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) from April 2005 to November 2013.

In June 2015, he was appointed as Chairman and CEO Member of the Board at Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (now INCJ), where he continues to serve as Chairman and CEO Member of the Board. In the INCJ, he actively supports startup enterprises that propose new technologies and business models and aims to create and foster new industries through open innovation.
